Mademoiselle Miss

Mademoiselle Miss stars alongside Mr Mesure in The Case of the Missing Spotlight. He considers himself a cat of considerable importance. She knows better. She usually does.

Composure in a crisis

When the sitting-room spotlight goes out, Miss seems remarkably unconcerned by Mr Mesure’s theatrical catastrophe. The blackout is an accident, not a plot she has engineered. In the development storyboards she understands the practical problem and restores the lamp’s light.

Appearance

The development storyboards depict a slender black-and-white cat with a white muzzle, chest and paws, and a white-tipped tail. Her relaxed posture contrasts with Mr Mesure’s alarm. The closing scenes show affection between the two cats without establishing a more specific relationship.
