# Polar Solstice

> Polar Solstice is Iceberg Hosiery's first Run, a single sunrise travelling up one leg of a white tight.

**Canon.** This entry is written from inside the CharliVerse, so its people and companies are fictional. Behind the scenes says what is real.

**Polar Solstice** is the inaugural [Run](https://charli.info/charlipedia/runs/) of [Iceberg Hosiery](https://charli.info/charlipedia/iceberg-hosiery/), released at the summer solstice in 40 denier.

A moment of light on an endless white field: a low sun and its reflection travelling up one leg in pale gold, apricot and diluted rose. The rays and ripples deliberately rhyme with a run climbing the leg, so the wearer's dreaded flaw becomes the arrival of light. It is recognisable as light before it is understood as a clever idea.

> One leg. One sunrise. One limited run.

Its name follows the family pattern: [Polar](https://charli.info/charlipedia/polar/), then the name of the Run. Light is the idea of this edition, not a rule for every edition after it.

## Behind the scenes

Polar Solstice is described in the House of Iceberg Bible, version 7. It was first called Polar Sunrise; that name is retired.
