# Mr Mesure

> Mr Mesure is a theatrical cat of considerable self-importance, starring alongside Mademoiselle Miss in The Case of the Missing Spotlight.

**Canon.** This entry is written from inside the CharliVerse, so its people and companies are fictional. Behind the scenes says what is real.

**Mr Mesure** is a cat of considerable importance. At least, that is what Mr Mesure thinks. He stars alongside [Mademoiselle Miss](https://charli.info/charlipedia/mademoiselle-miss/) in [The Case of the Missing Spotlight](https://charli.info/charlipedia/the-case-of-the-missing-spotlight/).

## A very important investigation

When a sitting-room spotlight goes out, Mr Mesure regards it as a mystery, a catastrophe and a crime against the theatre. There can be only one response: an investigation. Mademoiselle Miss is on hand to help, although she is considerably less alarmed.

## Appearance

The development storyboards depict a fluffy charcoal-grey cat with yellow eyes and a large bushy tail. One version gives him a ruffled theatrical collar and a magnifying glass. Those props belong to that development version; a permanent costume has not been established.

## Behind the scenes

This entry is based on Charlotte Joanne’s supplied announcement, two development storyboard sheets and her clarification that the blackout is accidental, received 26 October 2026. The storyboards are development references, not finished comic pages. No portrait or storyboard is published with this entry.
